This is a very famous old Japanese woodblock print, one of the series “One Hundred Views of Edo”.  The puzzle has been cut from 5-ply Maple, in my diagonal grid style, and will be very challenging. The puzzle is contained in a box with sliding lid made from bamboo, which is quite appropriate for an oriental puzzle.   These pieces are very small!
